unfortunately not alot of shopping was done, and no outfit posts as i was either stranded in the apartment or soaking wet. what awful weather in melbourne, the storm of the century.
but i get to make up for all of that in a week, melbourne fashion festival! VERY excited. i’ll be posting lots and lots. don’t you worry!

so last night was the opening of a new pop up venue in adelaide – arcade lane. opening as a fringe venue, in a laneway between the adelaide and regent arcades. they’ll be making use of the old regent cinema screens for some events as well which should be cool. so we went along to the opening last night, and you can find his review here. i was playing photographer last night testing out my skills at music photography [which i suck at by the way] so of course i ended up taking pics of people and food. what a fun night, with free drinks and japanese food!
outfit: alexander wang singlet, zara white vest, cos black skirt, new jeffery campbell heels, various jewels, new black sportsgirl bag [which is fabulous and fits my camera!].

i’m excited because i just got my ticket to see yeah yeah yeahs on jan 5 in adelaide. it’ll be the second time i’ve seen them. the first time i saw them was at the gov and the sound was really crap but this time they’ll be playing at thebbie theatre so fingers crossed. i love the new album, but fever to tell is still my fave.
and karen o is gorgeous. and she’s a bit asian too which is cool.
she takes ridiculous fashion risks, with stage outfits being designed by christian joy. i can’t wait to see what outfit she rocks in january.

i was lucky to win free tickets through lexus to see ’so frenchy, so chic’ at the adelaide festival theatre on saturday night. it was showcasing two french bands, cocoon & moriarty. not knowing anything about either, but being familiar with the so frenchy so chic compilations, i was really looking forward to it. and we weren’t disappointed. it was just so wonderful and really special that these bands included adelaide as a stop in their tour. adelaide often gets left out of touring circles for various reasons [which is why i'm going to melbourne to see spinnerette, the dead weather and phoenix in march] so i think it’s always important to go to things when they do come to adelaide. or else they won’t y’know?
it was a fun night and boy we drooled over the lead singer of cocoon. hot french boy. oh my. check out both bands myspaces below, they’re both really fab.
fashion note: i wore my silk zara jacket, doo.ri top, black portmans pants, new wittner lace up wedges and veronika maine necklace. miss leash is in balmain inspired cue jacket, black singlet, forever new tight black pants, gold sequin wittner heels. we were a walking promo for wittner last night.

…with a bit of viktor & rolf for good measure.
i have loved roisin murphy [ex moloko] for years and years. she’s amazing. and what’s better than my favourite artist teaming up with viktor & rolf’s spring 2010 RTW collection which was shown in paris a few weeks ago. roisin performed whilst the models came stomping down the runway in the amazing creations by viktor & rolf.
i know i might be behind the 8-ball with showing these images, but i wanted to time it with the online release of her new single from her third solo album.

roisin takes the coolest fashion risks. people have compared lady gaga to her and vice versa, but in my opinion, there’s no comparison. she’s like nothing else. i was lucky to see her when she toured australia for the v festival in 2008. she had a dozen outfit changes in her short set, and every one was fab.
